DIVE SPOTS
Our spectacular house reef drops to more than 90 meters on the north side. 8 entry points, all served with tank shuttle service, make diving on the house reef easy.
We also offer whole day trips (at least once a week) take you to manta locations on the west and south side of the atoll (e.g. Road to Paradise, Maghoodhoo Terraces, Nilande Kandu, Minimasgali Kandu, etc.). We are offering around 30 different diving sites. This pristine area and the reefs within it are exclusive to divers from Filitheyo. This is a privilege which cannot be overestimated. The abundance of fish is incredible and the numerous shoals of fish remind of the seventies! Encounters with big fish are nothing unusual and we even have sighted manta rays and whale sharks several times on our house reef.

We offer our guests a variety of 25 different dive spots which we regularly reach by car or boat. Furthermore our house reef which drops down fast and steeply has also everything experienced divers could wish for. The walls of the famous Elphinstone reefs (deep sea white tipped sharks), the lush soft corals that grow down into the blue, decorated with sponges, gorgonian fans and ferns, cast their spell over everyone. Abu Dabbab (Swim through and caves) and Samadai Reef (large schools of dolphins) are further highlights.

A brief look at one of the dive site:
H.P.Reef
One of the 15 Protected Marine dive sites of the Maldives. Located in North Male Atoll south of Girifushi Island.
This reef about 100 meters across is an amazing reef with beautiful corals, overhangs, caves, outcrops, a swim through and loaded with the best fish life making it one of the most exciting dives in North Male Atoll.
It is best recommended to dive here with a small or a medium current as the site is not big enough to drift along for an entire dive. With out going currents divers may start the dive jumping in the blue and drifting with the current towards the Reef while keeping with the left hand shoulder to it. The top of the dive site can be a spectacular place to be as the pelagic tend to hunt here; It includes Tuna, giant trevellys with schooling big evey travelly and also eagle rays.

Boat Trip Time: 45 minutes
Description:
The wreck a former tugboat was sunk in 1988 by the diveschool at the housereef of Hembadu. It is covered with small invertebrates, lumps of hard coral, softcoral and the deck hosts different kind of parrot fish, scorpinfish and angelfish.
It is 16 m long with the top at 15m and the bottom at 22 m.

A short view to the underwater world around Rihiveli Beach Resort
Ranikan Reef
The reef is on the west side of Rihiveli. The top reef is between 5 and 10 m, and is dropping slowly to a sand patch at around 30 m. Overhangs can be found in at all depths, but some lovely caves around 12m offer a great variety of coral, white tip shark, turtles, lobster.
This is our favourite place for night dives.
Experience Level: All Level.
Whether at 12m, 20m or 30m, Ranikan has abundance and a great diversity of marine life.

DIVE SPOTS
A short view of the dive sites:
Kandooma Thila - shaped like a teardrop between 16 and 30m deep. About 250m long - one of the most spectacular dives of this atoll, for scenery as well as prolific fish life. West and north coast are covered with soft corals and schools of red bass or even big-eye trevallies. Top reef is about 20m. There are some outcrops and overhangs where the soft coral outgrowth is very good, but the nicest feature there is the nearly sure meeting with grey sharks, white tip sharks and eagle rays that should be found on the north east of the reef, along with tuna and barracuda.

Cocoa Corner- located on the north side of the Kandooma channel. The wall of the channel is steep and we can find many caves and overhangs, whereas the outside reef slopes more gently.
We also spot grey reef sharks on the corner towards the outside reef.

Hence it is no wonder that the reefs of Sharm el Sheikh are said to be amongst the most beautiful in the world. Famous dive sites like Ras Mohammed and the Straits of Tiran, are certainly a must. Here an underwater world has developed which is unique in the Red Sea. Due to the topographical position, there are strong currents throughout the whole year. These currents provide the reefs in the best possible way with the necessary nutrients. No other dive destination offers as much of a variety and extraordinary diversity of hard and soft corals and density of species. Among others, you can see big rays, turtles, barracudas, snappers as well as more than 10 species of sharks.

Fish life is represented by reef dwellers, trigger- and surgeonfish, groupers, emperor- and parrotfish, turtles and eagle rays.

DIVE SPOTS
Most of our 40 + dive sites are reachable within 20 to 45 minutes. The sites are mainly rock formations encrusted with corals, some sloping reefs and small walls, all with a high density of fish life & critters. Our house reef is a drop off which seems to slope down into nothing. The two jetties allow one way drift dives. Having these two jetties offers different variations on diving a length of more than 600m at the house reef. Considering our 30 different dive sites within the area we can offer dive packages with a great variety every day. Of course sites like Elphinstone, Abu Dabab, Salem Express, Shaab Marsa Alam and Dolphinhouse are a must.
The El Quesier area hardly compares to other established diving areas in Egypt. On many dive sites we have the privilege of being the only divers there and can discover the beauty of the region with complete tranquillity.

In addition to the house-reef there are - depending on wind and weather conditions - about 20 dive sites along the coast (Sharm Fugani, Ras Maheleg, Erg Malek,…) available for daily boat trips.
If we have wind conditions 3-4, we can only dive in the protected bays of Sharm Fugani, Ras Maheleg and Sharm Tachtani for security reasons. The dive sites have not yet been discovered by mass tourism and can be explored in a 10 - 90 minutes boat ride.

Scuba Dive Spots Kas
Kas has some of the best dive sites in the eastern Mediterranean. You can see great reefs, steep walls (drop off), caves, amphora fields and wrecks. We have all various kinds of marine life: Groupers trigger fishes, barracudas, octopus, turtles and seals. It has also an impressive underwater scenery. The water is very clear & is very good for underwater video and photography! We have no nearby marine industry or deep sea fishing. All dive sites are between 10 and 70 minutes sail from the harbour. We start every day at 09:00 a.m. from our dive boats opposite Kas harbours lighthouse; the afternoon dive starts at 2:00 p.m. You don't have to carry your gear - it's brought to the boats by pickup truck and stays are our supervised Boat during your holiday.

There are more than 40 dice spots available. As well the offshore and under conservation protected "Island Dragonera".

Wrecks, caves, grottos, drop offs at he peninsulas "La Mola" and "Cap de Llamp" and the island "Dragonera" are special impressive experiences. The water around Puerto Andraitx is the habitat of big jewfishes, breams, crawfishes, octopuses, morays, sea eels, and much more. Big shoals of breams in all variations and sometimes hundred of barracudas accompany the diver during his experiences in the underwater world.
In opposition of the tropical coral reefs one will find bizarre rock formations, archways and overhangs crowded with thousands of crust anemones.

In the calm times, spring and autumn, the dive boat sometimes is accompanied by dolphins. Also jumping swordfishes can be seen during their chase of sardines.

Visiting any of the other dive sites in the area also leaves no doubt that the Red Sea is one of the world's most beautiful dive destinations. Amongst the 35 dive sites that we visit regularly are, of course, also the wreck of the Thistlegorm as well as the Straits of Tiran and the Blue Hole in Dahab. Sharm el Sheikh has a lot to offer for the experienced diver as well as for the beginner: drop-offs, strong currents, coral gardens and caves. The variety of species as well as the colors are impressive and it is not exceptional that turtles, sharks and other big fish visit the reefs. Big schools of fish are not a rarity either! The fringing reef which you find along the whole shoreline makes safety stops a very enjoyable part of the dive and offers fantastic snorkeling!

Our spectacular house reef drops to more than 90 meters on the north side. 8 entry points, all served with tank shuttle service, make diving on the house reef easy.
We also offer whole day trips (at least once a week) take you to manta locations on the west and south side of the atoll (e.g. Road to Paradise, Maghoodhoo Terraces, Nilande Kandu, Minimasgali Kandu, etc.). We are offering around 30 different diving sites. This pristine area and the reefs within it are exclusive to divers from Filitheyo. This is a privilege which cannot be overestimated. The abundance of fish is incredible and the numerous shoals of fish remind of the seventies! Encounters with big fish are nothing unusual and we even have sighted manta rays and whale sharks several times on our house reef.
